Following the success of leasing phase I and II of the multi-storey Container Freight Station (CFS), Asia Terminals Ltd decided in early 1989 to further extend the CFS.  The initial 150,000 sqm of cargo space as well as a large multi-lane ramp system was extended by 400,000 sqm to provide a total floor area of 866,000 sqm.  This makes Asia Terminals Ltd the largest multi-level industrial building in the world and has earned it a place in the Guinness Book of Records.
