J Roger Preston Ltd’s original commission in 1968 to design the engineering services for the largest hangar at Kai Tak known as Hangar No. 4, placed it in good stead 10 years later to design services for the hangar to accommodate the Jumbo Aircraft.

The new hangar covers 20,000 sqm with an overall height of 37m and can accommodate three Boeing 747s and a number of smaller aircraft simultaneously.
