J Roger Preston Ltd has been appointed as the design of tunnel ventilation and tunnel M&E services sub-consultant for the construction of the Tai Lam Tunnel and Yuen Long Approach Road which is a 3.8 km long, dual three-lane tunnel and a 6.3 km long approach road.  The development consists of an administration building and toll canopy at the northern end of the tunnel.  Two vent portal buildings at either end house fans used to supply and extract air from the tunnel.
