The subject site is located in the area of Chuk Yuen near Heung Yuen Wai. The project under this Assignment, being part of the new LT/HWY BCP, includes only the development of the Boundary Control Point Buildings and Associated Works within the project site of about 18ha in the BCP bounded by the patrol road / emergency vehicle access. The scope of the project includes: provision of cargo processing facilities including kiosks for clearance of goods vehicles, customs inspection platforms, X-ray buildings, etc; provision of passenger related facilities including processing kiosk and examination facilities for private cars and coaches, passenger clearance building and halls etc. including structural supports to one pedestrian bridge and four vehicular bridges crossing the Shenzhen River; provision of accommodation and facilities for the Government departments providing services in connection with the BCP; provision of internal road networks, public transport interchange, coach drop-off and pick-up areas, vehicle holding areas and associated road furniture etc, in the BCP; sewerage and drainage system, building services provisions and electronic system, associated environmental mitigation measures and landscape works within the project site area; and provision of a public car park with private car drop-off and pick-up areas within the BCP. The user departments of the future development include Immigration, Custom and Excise Department, Hong Kong Police Force, Fire Services Department, Department of Health, Food And Environmental Hygiene Department, Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department and Transport Department and other assigned departments.
