Henderson Centre, the largest composite complex in Beijing is developed on a 300,000 sqm site. Its basements accommodate vast spaces for retail shops, carparking facilities for about 800 cars and thousands of bicycles, and an exclusive underpass joining with the ticketing lobby of the underground railway station. Above ground level are 3 office towers, 1 apartment tower and a 4-level shopping complex built in the northern and central part of the site with a high-class hotel built in the southern part. The centre provides flexibility and adaptability in meeting the requirements of the large population and community of Beijing. A Club House is provided for the tenants residents and provides such facilities as restaurant, indoor swimming pool, squash court, sauna and other recreational areas. The project awarded Ten Best Buildings in Beiing in the 1990’s (2001).
