The Hong Kong International School (HKIS) consists of 4 schools which 2 nos. of primary schools are located in Repulse Bay site and 2 nos. of secondary schools are located in Tai Tam site. Due to the need of English based education in Hong Kong, HKIS has decided to carry out a major expansion program in an attempt to enhance the teaching environment and provide additional accommodations to meet their long term objectives. Life cycle study has been carried out on various M&E engineering systems to ensure that optimum engineering solutions are put forward. Taking this opportunity, a number of measures will be implemented to improve the indoor air quality. It is also the intention of HKIS to implement some green features as a demonstration project to their students and Hong Kong community as a whole. The GFA is 36,000sqm. The HK International School Annex project awarded HK-BEAM, Certificate of Assessment- Platinum (2009); QBA- Finalist in Community Institutional Facilities Category (2010). The expansion of Tai Tam Campus also awarded AIA Merit Awards for Architecture (2007)
