China Unicom plans to build a Global Solution and Management Centre at Tseung Kwan O Town Lot No. 39.

The establishment of the Global Centre is for the provision of total telecom services including internet data centre, cloud computing services and cross-border network services for connecting the telecommunication network of CU with the world via existing and upcoming new submarine cable and land cable systems and long-term development.

The development composed of 3 major operation centres at site, namely Global Solution Support Centre (APAC Countries), International Innovative Service System Centre and Cloud Computing and IoT Research and Development Centre. The total GFA is 37,000 sqm with 16 Data Halls. The mission critical MEP (including HV genset, 12 hour fuel storage) infrastructure is designed to house over 4,000 IT racks and the Data Centre was Uptime Institute certified with an on-site 132kV substation
